The full trailer for the remake of Sparkle has been released. This is the late Whitney Houston’s last role in a movie before she passed on February 11, 2012. The movie also stars American Idol alum Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Ceelo Green and comedian Mike Epps. The movie hits theaters in August. Check out the trailer below.

Janet Jackson sat down with Anderson Cooper recently and during the interview she reflected on Whitney Houston’s life. Anderson asked when she heard the news what did she think. Janet replied, “I couldn’t believe it. Immediately I started shaking and I was trying to text everybody I knew to let them know. I was speechless. I could not believe it.” She recalled the moments they spent together particularly in the 80s/90s during awards shows. Janet said that they would always take the time to find each other to say hello. Whitney would sometimes come in her dressing room or Janet would find her in her dressing room. She also offered advice to the family during this difficult time. Watch the video below. I am at a loss for words right now. It saddens me to report that legendary singer Whitney Houston passed away today. She was 48 years old. Her publicist Kristen Foster confirmed to the Associated Press that she died but the cause of her death is unclear at this time. This news is especially sad on the eve of the Grammy Awards. As soon as we find out more information we will update you. May she rest in peace.
News broke yesterday that singer Whitney Houston voluntarily entered rehab. Her rep Kristen Foster confirmed the reports stating that Whitney is in an out-patient program for drug and alcohol treatment. She also stated that it’s part of Whitney Houston’s “long-standing” recovery process. As of right now it’s unclear how long she will be receiving treatment.
