Tyra Banks Says Goodbye to Her Daytime Talk Show

After five seasons, Tyra Banks is calling it quits. Her daytime talk show, The Tyra Show will end the spring of 2010.

“This will be the last season of The Tyra Show,” Banks tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”

Banks will focus on the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company currently reviewing possible projects. Sticking to her mission, Banks aims to bring “positive images of women to the big screen,” says an industry insider.

“My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are,” Banks says.

Adds the insider: “Tyra is sad because she’ll be missing so much of the daily connection to her viewers, but excited at the same time to be taking on a new challenge.”

America’s Next Top Model fans need not to worry because the 15th season will premiere in February 2010.

Yesterday, the beautiful and talented Halle Berry hosted “An Evening of Awareness” at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City. “An Evening of Awareness” is benefit event raising funds for the Jenesse Center and the Trevor Project. Check out the pics below.

Also, Halle stopped by the Tyra Show last week. In the clip she promoted her fragrance “Halle” by Halle Berry. She also talked about why she decided to cut her hair again (which by the way is my favorite look on her). Watch the video after the jump.

Celeb Sightings: NY Yankees, Tyra Banks and Lady GaGa

Yesterday a few players from the New York Yankees stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman. Their celebratory parade is taking place today (after beating the Phillies in The World Series on Wednesday) at 11am EST in downtown New York. If you haven’t left by now it doesn’t make sense to go. There have been people waiting for the Yankees since 2am this morning.

Tyra Banks was spotted strolling through the streets of the East Village in New York. She was casual and comfy while shopping. I see that Gucci fanny pack Tyra!

Paparazzi was on scene to catch Lady GaGa in her racy lace number after having dinner at Balans restaurant earlier this week in London, England.
