Rihanna has added another job to her resume…acting! Rihanna has signed on to star in Universal’s Battleship alongside Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) and Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights). Director Peter Berg is expected to beging shooting the film soon (which is based on Hasbro’s combat-style boardgame). Battleship is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2012 which takes place across the seas, over the skies and land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force. Congrats to Rihanna!
In other Rihanna news, after her recent concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last week, Rihanna sat down with Access Hollywood. She shared why she chose to be a part of Eminem’s song “Love the Way You Lie.” Check out the video after the break!

Rihanna graces the July 2010 cover of ELLE magazine. I love it! Check out an excerpt from her interview below.
On her new beau: “I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”
On the past year: “A year ago, I was very confused. Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him—it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”
