Rihanna has added another job to her resume…acting! Rihanna has signed on to star in Universal’s Battleship alongside Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) and Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights). Director Peter Berg is expected to beging shooting the film soon (which is based on Hasbro’s combat-style boardgame). Battleship is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2012 which takes place across the seas, over the skies and land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force. Congrats to Rihanna!
In other Rihanna news, after her recent concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last week, Rihanna sat down with Access Hollywood. She shared why she chose to be a part of Eminem’s song “Love the Way You Lie.” Check out the video after the break!

Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio dominated the weekend box office for the second weekend in a row. It raked in $43.5 million over the weekend. Angelina Jolie’s movie Salt debuted at #2 with $36.5 million and Despicable Me came in #3 with $24.1 million.Check out the top 10 results below.

Actors Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel were photograped on set for the third installation of the Transformers franchise in Chicago, IL on July 18th. The two actors proved that it’s not all work and no play while on set, as they took a break and shared a laugh with director Michael Bay.

Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio opened up this weekend at #1 with 60.4 million. This is the strongest opening weekend for Leonardo so far in his career.
