Just a couple of days after the birth of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Papa Jay-Z dropped a song dedicated to her called “Glory.” The lyrics are beautiful and in the song he revealed that Blue Ivy was conceived in Paris right before Beyoncé promoted her album “4.” We also get to hear Blue crying at the end of the song. Congratulations to Beyoncé and Jay-Z! According to E! Online Beyoncé gave birth to a baby girl at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC. She had a scheduled C-section and reportedly the baby girl’s name is Ivy Blue Carter. Their celebrity friends congratulated the couple via Twitter. Russell Simmons tweeted the following:

***UPDATE*** When we first reported the news, we stated that the baby’s name was Ivy Blue Carter. According to Beyoncé’s good friend actress Gwyneth Paltrow, the baby’s name is actually Blue Ivy Carter. Gywneth tweeted the following:

Earlier today, Mariah Carey posted on her twitter page that Nick Cannon is in the hospital due to mild kidney failure. They were spending the holidays in Aspen, CO when his kidney failure occurred. She posted the following statement on her website:

This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.

We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C.

We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.

We wish Nick a speedy recovery and will keep him in our prayers.

Jessica Simpson announced on her website that she is indeed pregnant! For weeks there was speculation about her pregnancy. She posted a picture (above) in her Halloween costume with the headline, “It’s true I am going to be a Mummy!” This will be her first child with fiancé (former pro football player) Eric Johnson. Congrats!

Over the weekend, singer Monica married Shannon Brown (who plays for the LA Lakers) in front of family and friends in LA for the second time. The couple were married previously in a private ceremony back in the fall, but wanted to have a bigger celebration. Congratulations to Tia and Cory! They welcomed a baby boy yesterday, June 28th in Los Angeles. Tia’s rep told People that the baby boy weighed in at 8lbs. There is no official word on his name but I am very excited for them! Tia’s pregnancy will be televised when she and Tamera’s reality TV series “Tia & Tamera” premiere in August on the Style Network.

Kim Kardashian is engaged to her basketball beau Kris Humphries (who plays for the NJ Nets). The couple have been dating for 6 months. According to People, on May 18th, Kris was waiting for Kim in her bedroom at her Beverly Hils home. When Kim arrived, Kris was waiting for her on bended knee with four words written in red rose petals: “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” Kris Humphries popped the question with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond. Congratulations to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries!

As you already know Mariah Carey gave birth to twins (a boy and a girl) on April 30, 2011, which also marked their 3rd wedding anniversary. At the time of the birth, the names were not revealed until now!

Their son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon, with the nickname “Roc”. Scott is Nick’s middle name, as well as his grandmother’s maiden name.

The top tier of Mariah’s New York City apartment is called the Moroccan Room, because of the Moroccan-inspired decor. It’s also the place where Nick proposed to his wife, overlooking Manhattan!

Their daughter’s name is Monroe Cannon. Mariah’s rep says she does not have a middle name because Mariah herself does not have one. Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Mariah her whole life.
